Year One Swarm Trap Locations

General locations of swarm traps spring of 2017. Individual pictures of trap locations will reference these numbers. This property is located in Kurten, TX. My bees are now located in Grimes County.

Swarms were caught at locations:  1, 2, 3, 7, 10 and 12. Multiple swarms were caught in some after previously caught swarms were moved.

Honey Bee Swarm Trap
2nd Trap With Swarm, #12 on Map

This trap was on a barrel tied to a cedar tree in a very closed in thicket. This makes the bees about 4' off the ground.  This was a VERY robust swarm propilized the entrance until it was just about 1/4" open.
